Musical Bingo – Official Rules
Musical Bingo is an in-person, team-based music game. Players join with a PIN, use their phones to answer questions and vote, while a smart algorithm counts correct and faster answers and shows live results on the big screen.
This page explains how the game works for players, team captains and venues: teams, bingo cards, mobile app, special events, scoring and winners.
1. Game Overview
- The game is played in person with multiple teams.
- Each team has a Captain. At the start of the night, the host introduces all teams and their captains on the microphone.
- All players join the game using a special PIN code and connect to our online platform on their mobile phones.
- Throughout the event, players use their phones to see questions, choose answers and vote in special rounds.
- All main questions, timers, and live rankings appear on the Main Screen (projector).
- A smart scoring algorithm calculates points based on correct answers and answer speed.

2. Game Length
- Total playlist: 50 songs per game.
- Total game length: up to 3 hours, including breaks and special events.
- Special events appear approximately every 5 songs.
3. Teams & Captains
- Players form teams (recommended 3+ players per team).
- Each team selects a Captain who:
- Helps organize the team and keeps everyone focused.
- Participates in certain Captain-only competitions.
- May represent the team on stage during special events.
- At the beginning of the night, the host introduces each team and captain, building community and friendly competition.
4. Phones & Online Platform
- Each player needs a charged smartphone with internet access.
- The host displays a PIN code on the main screen; players enter it to join the game on our platform.
- Questions, answer options and some voting appear directly on the phone screen.
- Players tap to choose their answer. The system tracks both correctness and how fast they respond.
- All team and individual results are shown on the Main Screen in real time.
Example: players see the question and answer options on their phones, choose the correct answer and compete on speed.
5. Bingo Cards & Numbers
- At the beginning of the game, each player receives a Musical Bingo card with 20 different numbers.
- Each number on the card represents a song category. Categories can change every game. Examples:
- 90s Hits
- Latest Tracks / New Releases
- Rock Classics
- Classical & Instrumental
- Movie & TV Soundtracks
- Latin / Spanish Hits
- The host randomly selects and announces a Bingo number.
- Players find that number on their card and mark it.
- The next song (and question) will be from the category connected to that number.

Line Completion Bonuses
- Completing a full horizontal line on your bingo card gives bonus points to your team.
- Completing a full vertical line also gives bonus points.
- These bingo bonuses are added to all other points from trivia and special rounds.
6. Question Types
All main questions and game content appear on the Main Screen, while answer choices appear on phones.
- Guess the Song by Melody – short audio clip, players choose the correct title.
- Guess the Artist & Track by Photo – image on screen, choose the correct option in the app.
- Who is Singing? – identify the performer of the song that’s playing.
- Facts About Artists – fun trivia questions about bands, singers and producers.
- Movie & Series Soundtracks – name the film or show connected to the song.
- Other rotating surprise formats to keep the game fresh.
7. Special Events (Every 5 Songs)
Approximately every 5 songs, regular questions pause and we run a special mini-game. These rounds often offer extra or double points for teams.
- 🎤 Karaoke Competition – selected players or volunteers sing; the crowd and/or judges decide the winner.
- 👑 Team Captain Competition – captains face a quick challenge (singing, trivia, or funny task).
- 🕺 Dance Challenge – short dance battle or movement challenge to a track.
- 🎯 Super Game – one-time special round with high points.
- 🎲 Other surprise rounds depending on the event.
In some Special Events, captains or selected participants can win double points or bonus points for their entire team.
8. Scoring System
- Correct Answers – each correct answer in the app gives points.
- Speed Bonus – players who answer correctly faster receive additional points.
- Bingo Line Completion – completed horizontal and vertical lines on the bingo card give extra points to the team.
- Special Events – some rounds give extra or double points for winners and their teams.
- The total score for each player and team is calculated by our complex algorithm that combines all of the above.
Live scores and rankings are displayed on the Main Screen so everyone can see which team is leading.
9. Winners & Titles
- 🏆 Best Team – highest overall team score.
- ⚡ Best & Fastest Player – individual with the best combination of correct and fast answers.
- 🎟 Bingo Champions – special recognition for strong bingo card completion (lines, strategy).
- 🎉 Optional fun awards – Best Singer, Best Dancer, Craziest Team, etc. depending on the event.
Prizes and exact awards may vary by event and venue, but the main categories above stay consistent.
10. Player Guidelines
- Bring a charged smartphone (and a charger or power bank if possible).
- Do not shout answers to other teams – keep it fun, but fair.
- Phones should stay with the same player for the whole game (no passing phones between teammates).
- Cheating (such as looking up answers online when not allowed) may result in point deductions.
- Respect other teams, the host, the venue staff and performers.
- Main goal: have fun, sing, dance and enjoy the show together!
